You CAN call out poor behaviour, and still be everyone’s favourite boss.

Leadership is not about passing the buck, it’s about owning it – but how do you do this when the thought of dealing with difficult people has you heading for the broom closet?

It’s an incredibly common thing – leaders avoiding the tough stuff, in the hope that it’ll go away – but what ACTUALLY goes away is the respect people have for you. The other thing that leaves the building – are your best people, as they prepare their CVs and look for a boss that’ll have their backs instead of advising them to just avoid the difficult people and watch their own backs.

It’s time to STOP letting your own insecurities make you push the tough stuff under the carpet, because all you’re doing is creating a trip hazard of dysfunction – just so you can dodge the tricky stuff and protect yourself.

BUT, what if you could learn how to step up and make the hard stuff easy, lead with confidence, calling out poor behaviour and STILL be everyone’s favourite boss?

Well there is, and it all comes down to how you manage your own fear.

At the moment, you’re trying to manage it while it’s raring up, in full force, so it’s no wonder that escape is your go-to safety mechanism. What you need to learn, is the art of confident leadership, so you can get out ahead of the fear, and act in a way that stops it from even happening.

Which is why that’s the exact title of the training I have designed for you, and all the other leaders who are really great people, but just don’t know what to say, or what to do when people push back or seem resistant to pulling their heads in.

This training is for you if you feel a knot in your stomach every time you walk into the office, wondering if today’s the day the whole situation will blow up in your face.

It’s for you if you’re more inclined to tell your staff just to avoid the problem people instead of expecting them to be any different.

It’s for you if you want to start being a better leader because you know that avoiding the issues is isn’t making them go away, it’s making them worse and sending out a message that that bad behaviour is not only acceptable, it’s also the way to get what you want.

Do you worry about the impact your fear of dealing with this stuff is having on your team? Have you noticed a drop in morale or that people are starting to disengage – from each other and from you?

Well, let’s not sugar coat it. Here’s the hard truth – if you keep ignoring these problems, they won’t just go away -they’ll get worse and that knot in your stomach will turn into a full-blown crisis, if it hasn’t already. You’ll find yourself facing higher turnover, staring down a heap of “please explain” meetings from upper management, and a damaged reputation as being a leader you’re better off not even going to – because there’s no point.

You don’t want to be that person, do you?

So, what’s the solution? It’s about finding the courage and the skills to step into these situations with confidence. That’s exactly what The Art of Confident Leadership will give you. This training isn’t just about theory, it’s about giving you the practical tools and strategies you need to confront issues head-on, manage conflict effectively, and lead your team with authority and empathy – WITHOUT needing to start a fight or get a cramp from clenching your sphincter.

Imagine walking into work with the confidence to tackle any issue that comes your way, knowing that you have the tools to turn conflicts into really positive discussions, set boundaries that don’t hurt a bit, and finally sweep your leadership insecurities out from under the carpet and into the bin.

The last three roll outs of this training in Bunbury have sold out, but there are still a few seats available for the Perth roll out on September 25th.
